Since Dreya's Place is just beginning, the following are references from people who know me... who know first-hand how I treat animals of all sorts. These are people who were pleased to write references for me and to attest to my dedication to those pets who need a voice.
Shelene is one of the most kindest people I have ever met. She fostered our little kitty Azzy and any time I have any question about him, I know I’ll always have someone that worries and cares about him as much as I do. She’s very knowledgeable and always gives us the best tips and advice on how to raise a pet! I’ve dropped my cat off to her place so many times before when I’ve had to travel and she’s always taken him in with loving arms. My cat, a very shy and anxious cat, always warms up to her so quickly once he’s there because she’s so gentle and patient! I can trust her with my eyes closed because I know Azzy is in safe hands.

Ms. Anderson provided pet sitting for my cat, Journey, and was very attentive to her needs to her adjustment during those 4 days. She has pets of her own and fosters pets as well so she is so caring and wonderful to all animals. My cat really missed us during her stay but Ms. Anderson loved on Journey and helped her get through that time away in such a loving and caring manner. She kept me informed of how Journey was doing and any concerns that came up.
Pets are in good hands with Ms. Anderson! I would recommend Ms. Anderson to anyone looking for pet sitting services because she is great with your pets and is very dependable.

I’ve volunteered with Shelene Anderson for several years for the non-profit cat rescue Averting CAT-astrophe. She is one of our best, most dedicated volunteers and we can always count on her when we need her help. She
has a true passion for helping animals in need and will do whatever it takes to make sure they are safe and taken care of. When we are racing against the clock to find a foster for a kitty about to be euthanized at a shelter, Shelene always steps up, even if she is full. If we need to find transport for a kitty to go to another rescue, Shelene is there. We are lucky to have her. When she told me of her business idea, I nearly cried. It’s an amazing idea and there is a huge need for it. We get e-mails and messages weekly from people who have recently lost a relative and need to rehome a beloved pet. We do what we can but so many animals end up in the shelter just because they have nowhere else to go. They are not always put in adoptions because they are scared and confused, and so many are
euthanized because of it. It breaks our hearts, as well as those relatives that simply cannot take care of a pet for whatever reason but felt like they had no other option. It would be a huge comfort for the family and for the
owner to know their fur baby has somewhere to go should something happen.
It’s not exaggerating to say that I can’t imagine an animal going to a better, more loving home than Shelene can provide. She will care for any animal just like she would her own, not for a profit but because she can’t bear to
see an animal in need. The highest recommendation I can give is that I would want my own fur babies to end up with Shelene if the unexpected were to happen-I know they would be as loved by her as they are by me.

Shelene has performed magic with various animals that would otherwise have been euthanized. She has the patience of Job and enough love for the many critters she has taken under her care. I have seen her take nearly feral kitties , frightened of people and even their own shadows, and turn them into adventurous, loving pets.
She has fostered many animals that were unadoptable, dogs and cats, and turned them into adored and snuggly pets for singles and families.
I cannot say enough, nor do I have the words to adequately express my admiration for this woman who does so much for the animals, and the people who eventually adopt them. I would allow her to keep my fur babies anytime for any length of time because I know they would be loved, and probably spoiled rotten.
